Our green swimming machine! Green turtles are modern day dinosaurs, having existed for over 100 million years. However, green turtles, which are endangered, face many threats today which arise from human activity. One of these threats is a relatively unknown tumour disease known as fibropapillomatosis (FP), essentially, turtle cancer.

It is thought that this is a virus-caused cancer which only develops when a turtle is in the presence of some sort of environmental pollution. It’s thought both the virus and pollution together cause this cancer. This disease can cause debilitating tumours to grow on turtles and can severely impact turtle survival.

What will you be supporting?

You will be supporting The Sea Turtle Hospital at The Whitney Laboratory! This charity carries out vital work treating and rehabilitating sick turtles suffering from the tumour disease known as FP and treatment can last many months. They opened in 2015 and are only getting busier with turtle patients! To-date, they have successfully rehabilitated and released 57 endangered green turtles.

For every purchase of an "Endangered Species Range" green turtle sweatshirt, 10% of the profits will be donated to the turtle hospital to aid in their rehabilitation and conservation efforts saving some of the worlds oldest reptiles.
